Shapefile Export

ProjectTracker features the ability to export GIS data on an on-demand basis using Shapefiles, a widely-used format for storing geographic information. For agencies that need to move spatial data between different systems, perform more complex spatial analysis outside of ProjectTracker, or even share data with other agencies, this feature provides flexibility. GIS staff can export project geometries in bulk through this feature.

How This Works

For export , users can extract project geometries and attributes as zipped Shapefiles for mapped project locations. This export feature is tied to ProjectTracker’s robust filtering capabilities, allowing users to export the locations for a specific subset of projects (i.e. all projects within a specific Plan Revision, all projects of a specific Project Type, an individual project, etc.).

There are up to three Shapefiles included in each export (points, lines and polygons) which are dependent on the underlying project geometries and the filter criteria used.
