This report leverages the full list of FHWA Improvement Type Codes used in the Federal Management Information System (FMIS) aid categorizing federal-aid transportation projects.
The Obligation Performance report is meant to take the list of FHWA Improvement Type Codes and map them to typical Funding Phases that is seen throughout ProjectTracker. FMIS does not store obligated amounts based on Funding Phases. The report will then split all the projects by region(s) to fully display all the programmed and obligated amounts for each.
In order to generate this report, the user must select the "Plan Cycle" + "Funding Phase" filters
Selecting the "Funding Phase" will display the values of all of the FMIS Obligated amounts of projects that have the selected funding phase based on the Improvement Type Codes.
Below is a list of what the columns in each category represent and what their purpose is for:
Percent Projects Obligated
By Number: Takes the "% Obligated" within the Number of Projects Obligated category
By Cost: Takes the "% Obligated" within the Cost of Projects Obligated category
Difference: The "By Cost" / the "By Number" amount.
Number of Projects Obligated
Total: Displays the number of projects that have FHWA funding programmed for a project within the funding phase selected.
Obligated: Displays the number of projects that have FHWA obligated dollars for a project within the funding phase selected.
% Obligated: The "Obligated" amount / the "Total" amount.
Cost of Projects Obligated
Total: Displays the programmed amount of projects that have FHWA funding for a project within the funding phase selected.
Obligated: Displays the FHWA obligated amount for a project within the funding phase selected.
% Obligated: The "Obligated" amount / the "Total" amount.
